Once you’ve done that, getting rid of the public beta version is as simple as removing the public beta profile. Under this scheme, Apple allows anyone with an iPhone or iPad to download and install ‘Beta’ versions of iOS. However, you can gain early access to iOS 14 by joining the Apple Beta Software Program. If not, navigate to Settings > General > Software Update > Download and install. The new features of iOS 14 will not be available until Autumn, around the time that the iPhone 12 is released. You should get a prompt to install the stable version of iOS 14. Then you avoid having to remove the beta profile, wait for your device to revert back to iOS 13, and then go through the iOS 14 update process. I suggest downloading and installing the stable version of iOS 14 first, then removing the public beta profile. It’s now time to download the consumer version.
